Abu Reikhan Muhammad Ahmad al – Beruniy was born in 973 in the South Khorezm town of Kyat. He was a great scientist of Khorezm. www.arxiv.uz

Beruniy was an orphan. He was adopted and brought up by the famous Khorezm scientist of the 10 th – 11 th centuries. In 1004, Al – Beruniy returned to Khorezm and worked in the court of Khorezm shah Mamun in the town of Gurganch until 1017. www.arxiv.uz

Biruniy was the author of more than 150 works. Mostly his works are on mathematics and astronomy. The most significant “ Memorials to the past Generations” is a chronology of the religious holidays of many nations, including the Khorezmians . www.arxiv.uz

And his book “India” was translated into many languages including Uzbek, Russian, French and English. www.arxiv.uz

History and chronology • Biruni's main essay on political history, Kitāb al- musāmara fī aḵbār Ḵᵛārazm (Book of nightly conversation concerning the affairs of Ḵᵛārazm) is now known only from quotations in Bayhaqī’s Tārīkh-e masʿūdī. In addition to this various discussions of historical events and methodology are found in connection with the lists of kings in his al-Āthār al-bāqiya and in the Qānūn as well as elsewhere in the Āthār, in India, and scattered throughout his other works www.arxiv.uz

Physics • Al-Biruni contributed to the introduction of the experimental scientific method to mechanics , unified statics and dynamics into the science of mechanics, and combined the fields of hydrostatics with dynamics to create hydrodynamics . www.arxiv.uz
